3D wall panels: How to plan a unique wall?

Specify the wall's function

Three-dimensional wall panels can give an entryway or reception area a visual presence through depth and repetition. Before choosing a pattern, decide whether you want to cover the entire area or just a limited space behind a piece of furniture. Decorative panels differ from single-panel art in their range, divisions, and installation method.

Measure the surface as it is

Note the wall's width and height, and the locations of sockets, switches, and doors. Photograph the wall from the front and a side angle, and record the surface type if known. This information is important when discussing panel layout and accessibility to utilities after installation.

Think about the breaks early.

A beautiful pattern isn't enough if it ends haphazardly at the edges. Request a visual representation showing the beginning and end of the repetition, and how the breaks relate to the design lines. The project may require different units around corners or openings. These details should be reviewed with the design team before production is approved.

Discuss your project with Fused

Please send me your wall plan, photos, and design references to evaluate the idea of custom-printed 3D panels. Not every pattern or material is suitable for every location; the material, installation, and scope of work will be determined by the project. If you only need a single piece, a single mural may be closer to your goal than covering the entire wall.
